At the Hostal Avalon, we know that creating the perfect wedding day depends on getting every detail exactly right. 

It is your day and we want to make sure it comes to life exactly as you planned.  Our team of staff, including wedding planner, will be on hand to discuss all your plans in detail and make sure everything runs perfectly on the day.

Here is a list of the services we can offer at the Hostal Avalon: 

·                    Total organisation of the wedding ceremony in Gibraltar including any accommodation

·                    Dedicated manager for your special day to act as Master of Ceremonies and guide you through the formalities

·                    Booking of photographer, DJ, flamenco dancers

·                    Spanish Guitarists/Magician (Close-up or a Show)/Singers etc.

·                    Wedding Cake

·                    Floral arrangements in your chosen colour scheme

Selection of freshly made soups, which include:       

Cream of leek & potato

Cream of tomato and tarragon

Mediterranean vegetables

 Melon and Porto:

       Persian balls of local honeydew melon covered in cured Serrano ham with a trace of port 

Scotch Smoked Salmon:

   Sprinkled lightly with caviar and served with a lime and mustard vinaigrette

Pork Masala:       

Large cutlet of pork slowly pan fried and finished in a true Roman Masala sauce, consisting of Italian sherry with a light cream sauce.

 Swordfish Beurre Noir:

       Large swordfish pan fried with black butter and finished with fresh parsley.

Chicken Kiev:

   Home made stuffed chicken breast with pate, garlic butter and fresh herbs lightly deep fried in breadcrumbs, a true favourite.

Avocado Stilton:

Local avocado filled with stilton, oven roasted and splashed with port.

Champignon Farce:

Large mushrooms filled with pate, garlic, fresh herbs and oven roasted.

Fillet au Poivre:

Prime Scotch Fillet, pan fried and flamed in brandy served under a peppercorn cream sauce.

Baby Leg of Spring Lamb:

Oven roasted and basted in redcurrant jelly, circled with a light rosemary jus.

Grilled Dover Sole:

A large on the bone sole, grilled and finished with beurre noir, lemon and parsley.

DIAMOND MENU - €35,00 EUROS PER HEAD

Scotch Smoked Salmon:

Sprinkled lightly with caviar and served with a lime and mustard vinaigrette

Moules a la Mariniere:

Fresh local mussels poached in shallots, white wine and lemon juice finished with fresh parsley.

Steak Diane:

Fillet steak pan fried to your liking, flambéed with Calvados and finished with wild mushrooms, shallots and cream.

Boeuf Wellington:

The jewel in the crown.  A prime cut of fillet encrusted in pastry surrounded with a duxelle stuffing of mushrooms, onions, fresh herbs and garlic pate, oven baked and served with a Madeira sauce.

Sole Colbert:

Deep fried whole sole served with parsley butter.

Included in each menu, is a selection of Mediterranean vegetables, such as cauliflower cheese, sautéed or roast potatoes, petit pois Francais, or ratatouille a la Nicoise.

 After the main course, coffee and mints will be served.
